- Discover free NEW printables on your web connected printer
One of the first things people do when they set up their web connected printer is add the free print apps – from craft projects to crossword puzzles, news, coupons and games, customers basically can customize a direct-to-print experience on their printer that is perfect for them. The good news is that these print apps are powered by the web – and if new content is added to your favorite print app, you will be able to access it all immediately the very next time you use it.
Take DreamWorks Animation as an example. When HP introduced web printing to the world a year ago, the DreamWorks print app fast become a favorite. There you can find a collection of coloring pages of popular characters, games, and activities from your favorite movies including Shrek and Kung Fu Panda. The amount of content continues to grow – for this and many other of the existing print apps.
It’s easy to see if there’s new content… just take a close look at the print app icons. If the icon has a blue “halo” around it, it means content has been refreshed since the last time you opened the app.
Additionally, brand new print apps are launched regularly so be sure to check to see if you’re missing out on any of the new releases by following these instructions:
- If you have a touchscreen model, find the “Get More” button on your panel and follow the directions on how to add a new print app I posted on the blog.
- If you have a non-touchscreen model, just visit the HP ePrintCenter to discover new apps and add them to your printer. On the “Apps” tab there is a sub-tab called “Get More” that will enable you to add new apps and delete ones you don’t use, right from the HP ePrintCenter.
More information about the web connected line-up can be found on the HP web connected printing page.
